Who you are buying from

Pug Works Services LLC, a limited liability company in TX, trading as Franklin and the Duck. The company is the seller and the brand is the name on the shirt; the address is at the bottom of this page.

On your bank statement this charge appears as “PUG WORKS SERVICES” — the legal name of the company behind Franklin and the Duck, not the name on the shirt. It is us. If you see a charge you do not recognise, please email us before disputing it; it is almost always this.

When the sale happens

Everything in the shop is an invitation to buy, not an offer. The sale is made when we send your confirmation email, not when you click the button.

That matters in one real situation: if something is priced wrongly, or is not actually available, we can decline the order and refund you in full rather than being bound by the mistake. We will tell you why. We will not use it to wriggle out of a price we simply regret.

Prices

• Prices are in US dollars.
• Sales tax is added at checkout, calculated from your delivery address. The shop page price does not include it, because the correct amount depends on where you are.
• Shipping on clothing is included in the price — see shipping and delivery.
• We can change prices whenever we like, but never after you have ordered. What you were shown at checkout is what you pay.

Everything is made to order

Nothing here is held in stock. Your garment is printed after you order it, which is why it takes a few days before it ships and why we cannot take it back if you simply change your mind. Please read the size chart before you choose — it is linked beside the size buttons on every garment.

Because each one is printed individually, small variations are normal: print position can move slightly, and garment-dyed colours vary a little between batches. That is the nature of the product, not a fault. Anything beyond that is a fault, and is covered.

If something is wrong

The returns policy is part of these terms. In short: anything faulty, misprinted, wrong or lost is replaced or refunded within 30 days, and you do not pay return postage.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have by law. Where a consumer protection law in your state gives you more than this page does, the law wins.

The characters and the artwork

The five characters, their names, their stories, the illustrations and the designs are ours, and remain ours.

Buying a shirt buys you the shirt. Wear it, photograph it, post it, give it away, sell it on second-hand — all fine, and the photographs are genuinely welcome.

What it does not buy is the artwork. Please do not reproduce the designs or the characters to print your own merchandise, whether to sell or to give away. It is a small shop and that design is the whole of it.

If you want to use something of ours for something — a charity thing, a school thing, anything — just ask. The answer is usually yes and it costs you one email.

What we are responsible for

If we get your order wrong, we put it right or refund you — that is the promise, and it is a real one.

Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect losses: a gift arriving after the birthday, a delay by a carrier, or anything else outside our control. This limit does not apply to anything the law does not allow us to limit.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of the State of TX, United States.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it — the date is at the top of this page. Changing them later cannot change a sale already made.
