Shipping & delivery
Nothing here exists until you order it, so there are two waits rather than one — making it, then sending it.
In effect from 2026-10-09. Pug Works Services LLC, trading as Franklin and the Duck.
How long it takes
2–5 business days to make, then transit on top. The first number is printing: your garment is produced after you order it, which is why there is a wait before anything ships at all. The second is the carrier, and for standard US post that is usually a few more days.
So plan on about a week, and order earlier than that if it is a present. We would rather say so plainly than have you discover it after paying.
Busy periods — the run-up to Christmas especially — stretch the printing end, not ours. We will say so on the shop page when that happens.
What it costs
Shipping on clothing is free. It is not a promotion and it will not expire: the cost is built into the price of the garment, so what the shop shows you is what you pay plus tax.
Anything that is not clothing is charged at cost — the amount is shown in your cart before you pay, and a second item costs less to add than the first.
Sales tax is calculated at checkout from your delivery address, and shown before you confirm. It is not included in the price on the shop page, because the right amount depends on where you are.
Where we ship
the United States only, for now. The checkout will not accept an address anywhere else — that is enforced at payment, not merely requested, so there is no way to order from abroad and find out later.
We would like to change that. It is a question of getting the tax and the customs paperwork right rather than of willingness, and doing it badly would mean parcels held at a border with a bill attached, which is worse than not shipping at all.
Following it
When your order ships you will get a tracking number by email. Your order page — the link in your confirmation email — shows the current state at any time, and does not need a password or an account.
That link is the key to the order. Anybody holding it can see the order, so treat it like a receipt rather than something to post publicly.
If it does not arrive
Email us. A parcel that is late, lost or damaged in transit is covered by the returns policy — we replace it or refund you, and you are not out of pocket for a carrier’s mistake.
One thing worth checking first, because it is the most common answer: carriers frequently mark a parcel delivered a day before it actually turns up, and often leave it with a neighbour or in a porch.
Getting hold of us
Email hello@franklinandtheduck.com. One person reads it, so please include your order number — it is in your confirmation email and in the link to your order page.
